    • 10:50 PM The T-850 steals a car and analyses the current date and time.[3]
    • 10:59 PM While driving the T-X uses a mobile phone to track the whereabouts of several future members of the Resistance, her priority targets.[4] After she has been stopped by a Los Angeles police officer because of reckless driving and speeding she kills him and takes his gun.
    • Lieutenant General Robert Brewster, who is the head of the United States Air Force's Cyber Research Systems (CRS) division, learns that a virus has infected half the cillivian Internet and secondary military programs. The Pentagon proposes to use Skynet to scan the infrastructure and destroy the virus. Brewster is against it because he doesn't want to put everything under the control of one computer system, not even for a few minutes. He cancels a date with his daughter Kate and her fiancé Scott for the weekend.
    • John Connor arrives in Los Angeles as a hitchhiker after a recent motorcycle accident. He breaks into Emery Animal Hospital, steals medicine and ingests it. He later performs surgery on his injured leg.
    • T-X shoots Jose Barrera at a fast food restaurant, as well as William Anderson and his sister Elizabeth Anderson at their home.
    • TV News reports about rumours of a new computer super-virus.
  • 25 (Sunday)
    • 4:30 AM Kate and Scott are roused in bed by a text message on Kate's mobile phone. Kate tells Scott that it is an emercency and that she has to go to the clinic.[5]
    • Later Kate arrives at Emery Animal Hospital where she is confronted with John. She thinks that he is a junkie because of the medicine he took. John threatens Kate with a paintball gun but Kate recognizes the fake gun, overbears John and locks him up in a kennel.
    • 5:30 AM Shortly after that Kate has to deal with Betsy, a woman who has brought her sick cat to the clinic.[6]
    • Kate returns to John and opens up about knowing him from the past: They went together to West Hills Junior High but he suddenly disappeared in the middle of eighth grade when his foster parents Janelle and Todd Voight were murdered.
    • T-X arrives at the clinic in search of Kate. Kate sees how T-X shoots Betsy and can hide undetected.
    • T-X finds a rag with blood and runs a DNA analysis. The result shows that the DNA source is from her primary target, John Connor.
    • Kate tries to flee but the T-X catches her and asks where John is. Suddenly the T-850 arrives in a pick-up and slams T-X into a wall. The T-850 then grabs Kate and locks her in her own truck.
    • John manages to open the kennel while the T-X is recreating under a pile of stones just beside him. He meets the T-850 who tells him that he is here to protect him.
    • When the T-850 brings John to Kate's truck the T-X reappears. John drives away as T-850 tries to fight T-X but gets heavily damages by T-X's primary weapon, a Plasma cannon. Police cars and fire engines appears on the scene. T-X takes over control of these vehicles and lets them drive remote-controlled. Sitting in a crane truck she starts the chase for John and Kate.
    • T-850 is finally rebooted, grabs a police motorcycle and follows T-X's armada of vehicles. T-X catches up with Kate's truck by dawn and tries to kill her and John but T-850 can stop her by destroying her crane truck after a furious car chase.
    • T-850, John and Kate leave the city towards the desert. John learns that the T-850 is not the same one that he met in 1995[7] but also a Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 Terminator. The T-850 also tells him that Kate must be protected because she is a future lieutenant of the Resistance. He says that Judgment Day was not stopped but only postponed due to the destruction of the Cyberdyne Systems building: "Judgment Day is inevitable".
    • T-850 removes one of two hydrogen fuel cells from his stomach area because it was damaged by the T-X's plasma attack. He throws it out of the window into the desert. Seconds later the cell becomes unstable and causes a huge explosion.
    • The trio later stops at a gas station near Victorville, California[8] to refuel and get some food.
    • TV stations are broadcasting only freeze-frames for hours because of technical difficulties, computers are down.
    • On the road again Kate accusses John of having kidnapped her. She learns that John is the future leader of the worldwide Resistance and that the T-850 is a robot from the future to protect them. She doesn't believe it.
    • John remembers that he and Kate made out in the basement of their schoolmate Mike Kripke's house back in 1995, the day before John's first encounter with the T-800.[9] He doesn't believe that it is a coincidence that they met again now.[10]
    • T-X kills Scott in his home.
    • Two police officers arrive at Kate and Scott's flat looking for Kate because of the "accident" that has happened at the clinic and a possible kidnapping. T-X talks to them, copying Scott's appearence.[11]
    • T-850, John and Kate arrive at the Greenlawn Cemetery[12] and go into a mausoleum where they find a tombstone[13] for Sarah Connor. John is surprised because he didn't know where his mother was buried after she died of leukaemia in 1997. T-850 smashes the tombstone and pulls out the coffin. He opens it and there is no body inside but a huge variety of weapons. He says that it was Sarah's last will to store the weapons here. John assumes that his mother was not really convinced that they had successfully stopped the end of the world.
    • Kate grabs a gun, aims at T-850 and finally fires at him. T-850 catches the bullet with his teeth and spits it out. He tells a clearly shocked Kate not to do that.
    • The police and a special SWAT team have arrived at the cemetery to free the hostage. They throw a flask with anesthetic gas inside.
    • Kate runs out of the mausoleum and is taken by SWAT team members.
    • T-X, still copying Scott's appearence, is with the two police officers when they hear that Kate was freed at the Greenlawn Cemetery. T-X kills the two men and takes over the car.
    • Dr. Silberman, a post-trauma counsellor for the sheriff's department, looks after Kate. She is now sure that the T-850 is not human.
    • T-850 puts John into the coffin, takes it on his shoulders and leaves the mausoleum breaking through a stone wall. The police opens fire at him. T-850 shoots back without hurting a single man but blows up some police cars. He puts the coffin into a hearse and informs John that they have to get Kate back because she is important for the future. Through her John will make contact to the US military forming the core of the Resistance. She also will be his future wife and the mother of his children.
    • After the shoot-out Kate is running through the cemetery when she sees Scott arriving in a police car. While Scott is walking up to her he transforms into the T-X. The hearse hearse arrives, T-850 shoots a missile at T-X which sets her flying backwards throuh the air. John yells at Kate to come with them if she wants to live. Kate gets into the hearse and they drive away.
    • T-X regenerates quickly and chases them by foot. She nearly catches John but the T-850 is able to get rid of her causing her primary weapon to be damaged. T-X changes to a alternate weapon, a flamethrower.
    • T-850, John and Kate stop at a house trailer in a deserted area. T-850 tells them that Kate's father, Robert Brewster, is one of 22 persons on T-X's hit list. Kate knows little about her father's work, only that he is in the Air Force and responsible for weapon design. T-850 adds that Skynet is one of the digital defense systems developed under Robert Brewster. John thinks that he is their only chance to shut down Skynet and that they have to meet him as soon as possible. T-850 declines because there is not enough time.
    • 3:25 PM T-850 informs John and Kate that Judgment Day is today and only 2 hours and 53 minutes away. The first launch sequences will be initiated at 6:18 p.m. He says that they have to continue south into Mexico to escpae the primary blast zones.
    • John claims to change his destiny by killing himself right now. T-850 calculates an 83 percent probability that he will not do it. Kate begs T-850 to save her father and he agrees. He tells her that they can reach CRS in approxemately one hour.
    • Later the trio is on the road again driving in the home trailer. Kate can't phone her father because the whole cell network ist down. T-850 informs her that Skynet is assuming control over global communications in preparation for its attack. He was sent back to 2004 by Kate, who is second-in-command in 2033, programmed to follow her orders. Kate seems not too happy to learn that she will be John's wife in the future.
    • Inside CRS Robert Brewster is informed that military systems are now also affected by the virus. Just minutes ago guidance computers at Vandenberg Air Force Base crashed, Early Warning in Alaska is down and satellite signales are scrambeled. They also have lost contact to the missile silos and the submarines meaning the country is completely open to an attack. They are unable to trace the virus or pin it down because it keeps growing and changing. The Pentagon orders Brewster to use Skynet to stop the virus. Brewster is uncertain because if he uplinks Skynet then Skynet will be in control of the military. He finally agrees after the promise to get all the funding he ever needs when Skynet succeeds.
    • T-X is inside CRS. She walks into a room full of Series T1 Terminators, produced by CRS for extreme combat, and activates them.
    • Brewster activates Skynet Defense System. After just some seconds it is fully operational, processing at 60 teraflops a second. Suddenly the computer monitors go black and come back to life with distorted images. No one knows what is happening.
    • Kate runs into the room screaming for her dead. When he looks at her she is hit by several bullets and falls to the ground. T-850, who ist standing behind Brewster, was the one who shot at her.
    • John and Kate enter the room after the T-850. The shot "Kate" stands up and transforms into T-X. She shoots at Brewster four times before T-850 can stop her and she falls down a lift shaft.
    • Brewster is heavily wounded. He thinks that the virus has infected Skynet but John explains that Skynet actually is the virus. T-850 says that Skynet will initiate a massive nuclear attack on its enemy, the human race, in one hour.
    • Several T1 Terminators start to drive through the floors of CRS and shoot people at random.
    • T-850, Kate and John carry Brewster to his office to get the access codes to shut down Skynet. On the way T-850 terminates two T1 Terminators. John gets the codes from Brewsters safe. Brewster tells them that they have to get to Crystal Peak in the Sierra Nevada mountains, 52 miles away. John assumes that this is the place where the system core is located. Brewster tells them to take his plane.
    • A flying HK-Aerial fires a missile into the office, killing Brewster.
    • While T-850, Kate and John are on their way to the runway T-X reappears. John and Kate run away, T-850 and T-X start to fight. T-X, being more advanced, wins and shuts down T-850 by kicking his head off.
    • Kate destroys a HK-Aerial by constantly firing at it with a machine gun, impressing John. Before entering the particle accelerator, which is the shortest way to the runway, John powers it up.
    • T-X catches up with John and Kate inside the accelerator but is stopped when a magnetic fields is activated. T-X is unable to move and seems to melt.
    • Kate and John reach her father's plane. T-850 arrives after his system was rebooted. He grabs John and throws him to the ground. T-X has corrupted his system and he varies now between protecting John and killing him. Although his CPU is intact, which means he can't kill a human, he is unable to control his other functions. He finally releases John and starts punching the engine hood of a car, shutting himself down. John and Kate start the plane und fly into the desert.
    • 5:46 PM John ensures Kate that they are gone make it because he has enough C-4 to take out ten supercomputers.[14]
    • T-850 restarts his systems.
    • John and Kate land at the foot of a mountain at a U.S. government property. They go into a hall that has been built into the mountain. It looks deserted with lots of dust covering several jeeps. They move further inside but their way is blocked by a closed blast door. Kate finds a key pad for access control. The screen prompts them to enter "Blue 478". John looks into Brewsters documents and finds the right code. Kate types in "Dakota 775" and the screen changes to "Power on". When the screen changes again to "Red 176" they hear the sound of a helicopter. Just a moment later a helicopter crashes into the hall and T-X gets out of it. When she starts moving towards John and Kate John finds the right code. Kate types in "Avalon 412". The screen changes to "Authorized" and the blast door starts to open.
    • John shoots at T-X but with no effect. Suddenly a second helicopter crashes into the hall. T-X starts to run but the helicopter catches her and drags her along. It explodes in a huge fireball. T-850, heavily damaged but still functional, gets out of what is left of the helicopter.
    • An alarm signal sounds and the blast door starts to close again. T-850 jumps under the door and tries to push it up again. T-X, now without her human form, crawls out of the fire. She looses her legs because they got stuck. She sees how John and Kate crawl under the blast door and follos them.
    • When Kate is on the other side of the door T-X can grab John's leg and tries to pull him back. John screams in pain. T-850 is able to force T-X to release John's leg. Kate drags John to the other side. They run away through a corridor.
    • T-X tries to follow them but T-850 gets hold of her. He removes his second hydrogen fuel cell from his stomach area and stuffs it into T-X's mouth. Seconds later the cell gets unstable and causes a huge explosion.
    • John and Kate survive the explosion without injuries. They find an elevator which transports them deeper into the mountain. John sets the detonator for the C-4 for five minutes so they will have enough time to get back up.
    • They arrive in a huge hall, unsure about where they are. Kate sees a setting obviously designed for the President of the United States to speak to the American people. John is confused because the computers that he has found are approximately 30 years old.
    • John realizes that they won't find Skynet here: They are in a fallout shelter "for VIPs". He is furious because he can't understand why Brewster has sent them here when there is nothing they can do.
    • Kate knows the answer: Her father's mission was to make sure that they would survive Judgment Day.
    • John realizes that Skynet can't be shut down because there is no system core: Skynet is software in cyberspace and by the time it became self-aware it had spread into millions of computer systems around the world.
    • 6:18 PM Skynet initiates the first launch sequences.[15]
    • John and Kate receive radio messages from across the country when the attacks begin.
    • Judgment Day has come, the nuclear war begins.[16]
