- Main article: Terminator: The Burning Earth
In 2041, Skynet began to using its nuclear stockpile to annihilate the human race. However, it was stopped by John "Bear" Connor, who led a team of Resistance soldiers to the Thunder Mountain and successfully destroyed Skynet Main CPU, ending the War Against the Machines.
Notes[]
- In promotions for the series, NOW states that it takes place ten years after the events of the first series, The Terminator, which was in 2031. However, in The Burning Earth issue 1, John "Bear" Connor said "The war is forty years old", which would make the event in 2037 if Judgment Day occurs in 1997 as given in the film The Terminator since the story follows The Terminator.
Quotes[]
- The war is forty years old, No one remembers what year it is supposed to be. Then again, Who cares? After awhile you just move from one battle to the next. Automatically.
- John "Bear" Connor
