ARTIE

ARTIE is the "Automated Real-time Traffic Information Exchange", a fiber optic network linking every street intersection to a data center in the city hall of Los Angeles. It has cameras, microphones, and sensors, and could be potentially be used as a "nervous system" for the emergent Skynet.
ARTIE was the pet project of Barbara Chamberlain, a Los Angeles city manager. A T-888 infiltrated Barbara Chamberlain's life, marrying her and becoming Vick Chamberlain. Vick murdered a lobbyist being paid to oppose ARTIE named Jessica Peck. He later killed Barbara.
