Anton Yelchin is a Russian born actor, the son of figure skaters Irina Korina and Viktor Yelchin. He was born in Leningrad (now known as St. Petersberg, Russian Federation) and raised in the USA[1]. He started acting at age 9, doing various bit parts in minor films and stage productions. He made his transition to major film work with his role in Along Came a Spider in 2001, and will portray "Ensign Pavel Chekov" in the 2009 remake of Star Trek.

In addition to his acting work, Anton also plays acoustic guitar and is a big fan of Blues. He is currently enrolled in The University of Southern California studying film production.

Anton will portray a teenage Kyle Reese in the upcoming McG film Terminator Salvation, making him the fifth actor to take on the role [2].
