Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
In Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the Terminator Cameron Phillips states her endoskeleton was also made of hyperalloy. She also states that at least one of the components of hyperalloy, or one kind of it, is coltan, which supposedly has a higher melting point and is thus less vulnerable to heat, different from earlier models. The TSCC Drones featured in the series are also apparently made of hyperalloy, reverse-engineered from captured endoskeletons.
Notes
- It is unclear whether or not hyperalloy is spelled as one word, two words, or with a hyphen. The original script to The Terminator spells it as one word [1].
Quotes
- Kyle Reese: The Terminator's an infiltration unit, part man, part machine. Underneath, it's a hyperalloy combat chassis - micro processor-controlled, fully armored. Very tough. But outside, it's living human tissue - flesh, skin, hair, blood, grown for the cyborgs...

- John: That's coltan; if that's what you're made of, no wonder you're so dense.
- Cameron: Not density, heat resistance. T-600 models had a titanium alloy endoskeleton, but it was vulnerable to heat. Coltan alloys have a much higher melting point.
