How to GET a Season 3

Hey, if the Browncoats can get Serenity, we can aspire to reach as far and beyond. NO FATE but what we make for ourselves, right! Its a Time Travel show, we can do anything! Make youselves known, if you are reading this...you are The Resistance! Farscape, Futurama, Firefly, Family Guy (wtf is it with "f" shows?), Star Trek, and Stargate. All have returned from cancellation stronger than before (or at least "completed"). Let us do thisFulongamer 23:24, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Now that there is no Season 3...

Give me back my Cameron! Quickly!
More seriously, this is the best story in sci-fi I've seen: Beautiful and sincere love of robot to human. Who is more human in the story? I wish I had such Cameron: touching and charming girl. "Good-bye, birdie: I'm 51% sure that I would not kill you." I was crying...Brandner (talk) 21:04, January 16, 2013 (UTC)
Amazingly disappointed. This is really excellent shows. Although they still have a lot of works to do with the plot, this show is far more excel than T3 & T4. Every show will have its down time but what Fox did upset a lot of fan - like us. This story can be developed far more than just this 02 season and for sure i vote this one is much better than Prison Break - Season 4. Come on Fox, think it over. -- -airplane_vn 04:04, 11 Dec 2009 (UTC)
I find it a travesty that they would do this to such an awesome show, they kept doll house. i mean all the messenger boards called for TSCC to be saved, they even got 54% of the vote on the save that save the show thing. and why did they have to leave it at such a cliffhanger?--Osirisgod 04:04, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

I am sad. — JeiaraTalk 16:11, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm heart-broken. But the fight isn't over. We have to bombard WarnerBros. with demands for a Direct-to-DVD continuation. Darth Raivon 16:28, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
I would say our best option is for another network to pick up TSCC. I would even prefer it because I don't like fox, I don't agree with the choices they make, the best example being cancelling Firefly in 2003, a story which movie was compared to the latest star trek one. Lets hope we get more Sarah Connor, it is really an excellent show compared to many things in tv today.--Pakeec 02:55, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Josh Friedman has already said they're not going to move it to another network. - Nx1701g 06:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
I am sad, too! Keeping Dollhouse, but killing TSCC :-(. Let's hope for some miracle. -Wikicide 10:16, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
There's a little hope left. According to an "insider" at FOX, not everyone agreed with the decision to cancel and that TSCC might come back some day in the future. Also, a twitter from a bigwig at SyFy thanked all the fans for their suggestions regarding picking up the show and promised to bring this to his co-workers' attention during their next board meeting. Darth Raivon 21:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
USA network and SyFy (as it's now oddly called) are good for picking up the losing shows. USA Picked up Law and Order: Criminal Intent after NBC bagged it. And SyFy has picked up numerous series' from FOX. -Sec_1971 21:44, September 23, 2009 (UTC)
Hear hear!. The rescue and continuation of Stargate (and its several seasons of spinoffs) is well documented, as well as the swan-song delivered to Farscape with the Peacekeeper Wars. Any of the options are quite valid. Ressurrect the Series (Stargate, Family Guy)! Bring on the TV-first then DVD Movie (Farscape)! Futurama has scored with not one but 5 stand-alone movies and forced the plans to restart the TV series. It CAN be done! Or go full bore and give them the Serenity treatment with a mega blockbuster on the Big Screen! Then the execs that made this bad, bad BAD call can go find a bus to throw themselves under. (instead of our favorite shows, FOR ONCE!). This story is far from over and still begs to be told. Bring on the Future War! Fulongamer 22:49, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
I believe SavetheSCC is doing a lot to bring the show back. DVD sales are looking good, so we might get a Direct-to-DVD continuation. Darth Raivon 23:14, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, the folks at www.savethescc.com are awesome. They raised funds and got a mobile billboard. If this Direct-to-DVD plan happens, I'll be really happy. — JeiaraTalk 18:38, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
That's good to hear, but we can all do more. Don't forget to vote/sign above in any or all categories, and spread the word. Also, Admins, feel free to move/make accessible this subject from the wiki frontpage so more members can address it. Slap FOX and WB across the face with their wallets, and ram our message down their throats. We want more, and we will take it. Fulongamer 07:03, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

I have a thought: what about a straight to DVD (or first on TV) movie, which ties together most of the plot and can give fans closure. If it's successful, then either make another or bring back the show. jfrocks2002 21:05, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Grrr, well I think our only hope is that one of their new pilots fails and they can make room on the schedule for Sarah Connor (or insane DVD sales):

Just think, if there wasn't a writer's strike, Terminator would have been paired with 24 on Mondays... — JeiaraTalk 17:02, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Fox fail.
The wheat is falling from the chaff, upstart one-shots are dying off, and gee.....we could always KILL A FEW REALITY SHOWS! I swear that will be the best thing that Skynet could bring with Judgement Day.Fulongamer 22:57, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
I demand a Movie Miniseri, Come on Fox, think it over! I just have to say that the fight isn't over guys! To Quote Fulongamer cause I agri (that Quote was of-course from T4) "You are The Resistance!" True we are. Kamila_064 22:06, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
well, if there is "no" season 3, why can't the fans continue it here? i don't see anything stopping us besides copyrights, and those are limited since what we are writing about doesn't exist in the mind of its creator (not tangible yet). i know this seems naive but for now, after seeing episode 31, there is so much to work off of, and getting rid of it for something as trivial as family guy, which is broadcasted twice and multiple different networks, makes no sense to me. when they showed that everyone was alive at that time showed me how much material and potential there is. granted i have the grammar to write (not now because this is just an opinion), i don't have the creativity...plus someone needs to knock some sense into james cameron considering i TRULY believe he has more money than FOX lol

I'm kinda happy it got canceled...

It had a lot of potential at first, but it eventually killed itself, bringing around its own cancellation. By the second season (in my opinion):

  1. The dialogue stank.
  2. The show's pace had slowed to a crawl.
  3. The episode plots became mundane and slow.
  4. More questions were forming instead of being answered. They kept on throwing in new things that further confused the viewer rather than answering any questions he/she had.

I mean, by the middle of the second season, the show was going all over the place. It didn't seem focused or to have a concise plot or goal.

But that's just me...

Summer Glau is hot, though.

Model101 21:22, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

i do have to aggree with you on number 2 for sure and also about Summer that is just a given --Osirisgod 04:06, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Thank God it got canceled i think it sucked it did not looked like terminator it had a bad story-Boba fett 32 19:19, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Given your poor literacy I'm not surprised you couldn't make sense of the show. You see, this is why smart programs die in America. Darth Raivon 21:31, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Amen Darth Raivon. Stay strong in the opposition to the dumbing down of America (referring to your comment on his grammar in addition to the comment about smart programs. I'll never understand why people are happy when a show is canceled. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Turambar007 23:22, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Totally agree! this is a show where you had to think and watch the entire time, (there were many 'sub-plots') The first season was monday and sunday the second was monday and friday! why did they space out the days? 'Allison from Palmdale' and 'Self made man' were great 'mini movies'. AfromPequalsy 07:03, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Are you kidding me?! This show was a stain on the Terminator saga, along with T3 and T4. The only good thing about it was Summer Glau. More peeves with the show: John Connor was still a sissy boy rather than the eventual savior of mankind; A lot of things introduced were never explained; the actress that was Sarah was HORRIBLE compared to Linda Hamilton; why the hell did Sarah Connor abandon John and let him go forward in time with a mysterious T-1001? and other things that made me hate the show. The machine-vs-machine fights were bad. Plus the pace was very slow. Did I already mention that? Model101 22:34, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Uh-huh. And your vision of a Terminator show is what, exactly? Arnie riding his Harley Davidson down a riverbank every episode? A T-1000 chasing a helium-voiced pre-teen through a lava factory? Please. They did the absolute best they could. That anyone could. The budget was limited. The cast was great. There were mistakes from all quarters, but the quality was still awesome. It was the best show on the air before FOX cancelled it. By the way, this isn't a hate forum. If you have a problem with the show, save it for another site. Darth Raivon 01:43, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Darth Raivon has a point you know. I to think that the show was aesome. We were all lucky that Terminator even got a TV Series. -- Terminator234 02:36, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Damn, im pissed why did they have to cancel the show with such a cliffhanger ending, they could at least finish it off. -- The Nickonator 3:26, August 19 2010 (UTC)

My personal vision of a Terminator show would be one that took place in the future, Man vs. Skynet. None of this T-888 crap or multiple terminators back through time. Just a fully futurized war series along the lines of Band of Brothers, but within the War Against the Machines. Maybe a few flashbacks here and there; John flashing back to his adventures with "Uncle Bob", for example, or some insight into the creation of Skynet and its implementation. The series was kind of non-canon, if you ask me. There was almost nothing about it that went along with the story. By sending John and Sarah forward through time in the first episode, the show immediately flew off the rails of what's canon. John would be too young to lead the resistance in the future, and he would have passed over ten-years of life experiences (thus making him ten years less of a veteran). No wonder Arnie refused to do a cameo. -Sec_1971 Admin 23:15, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
Can't help but agree. This show lacked a lot of the spirit of the Terminator films. It also cheapened the 'time travel' aspect, which previously had been compelling. Anyhoo.Kahlzun 15:02, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

Um, guys... I don't think here is a place to talk about that, especially complaint.

First, there is always the supporter and the opposer of something due to different person. For me, I don't like T3 but I don't think I'll post any complaint (especially pure complaint, not to mention subjective words) on its talk page. It's a most basic respect to other people who like it. (Okay, at least the initial user who post the section did speak his/personal opinion/point instead of just complaining.)

Second, the page is a "talk page", which is used to discuss how to edit/manage/maintain the page. It is not a chat room or a forum. --TX55TALK 02:16, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually the "talk pages" can be used to talk about the subject at hand, why wouldn't they be. Personally I'd rather stick around to read about what Sec_1971 has to say about it than read about the entire fall lineup. Every other wiki uses talk pages to discuss theories, opinions and beliefs.--SawBucks
I like this show, and was upset (I don't know if I'd say "devastated"...but I was pretty upset) to find it was canceled, but that said? I can agree, this show had it's problems, there were far to many time travel instances and terminator-of-the-week episodes in a series that promotional interviews said it would not do. Without a doubt, that contributed to the demise of the show, a more steady pace of the story and constisancy of what takes place when (I mean, come on, season 1 was September-November 2007, and then season two was from November 2007-something 2009...thats quite a drag out), and the fact that because of the back 9 order, they had to slow down the story even more...and so on, and so on. A shame to, the premise of the show allowed for so much... --Terran Officer 04:19, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

I can't say that I don't like TSCC, but for me, it seems to be exhausted by itself. SV5195R 19:18, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

Well the ONLY reason why it was NOT like the original Terminator because...

  • Some of the directing sucked.
  • It was unlike something James Cameron directed.
  • Some of the acting portrayals sucked. (But Summer Glau was good in most parts though)
  • (They should have Linda Hamilton did Sarah Connor while Lena Headey does another role.)
  • Continually issues of the timeline. (If you have watched the original 2 films BY Cameron, then you notice the differences of the dates in SCC compared to the films)
  • Miss-identification and canon flaws. (see Future Terminator, The Rogue, Kyle Reese trivia's)
  • Half awake while watching it. (Not a good sign if you're a Terminator fan)
  • Lacking a plot. Too random, etc. (Which is probably a good reason why for it to be canceled)
  • They made it look like a stupid reality show that should have been aired on the Reality channel.
  • Having This but not having This as a primary antagonist.
  • Lacks a dark theme unlike the films.
  • Did they HAVE to make it an alternate timeline?
  • Most of the scenes in the episodes were lame.
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger could have been in it (He may be old but he'd still make a great Terminator)

-Boba fett 32 04:11, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Season 3 Terminator

There Will Come A Terminator Season 3 They Will Come!!!!!!! From The Future

FOX

Is any of this going to FOX because i think we need to get a petition with names of angry fans to FOX so we can try to get the show back. T-888 13:44, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

It feels like wishful thinking at this point. A few of the actors have had roles on other shows already(Summer Glau and Richard T. Jones, at least). I can't list the shows that Fox has cancelled then brought back, but the only ones I can think of were animated. TSCC was a big-budget show, far less likely to get a comeback on a major network channel. I definitly miss the show, but if it is to come back from the dead it had better be done right and not half-assed. -Grimace427 16:20, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

I Agree with you on that last point, if the show comes back it needs to be as good as the first two seasons were. Look Fox canceled Family Guy twice and both times it got stronger. I know that Family guy is a cartoon and Terminator was live action but I think if the show were brought back it would be stronger than ever. I think we should start a petition to get FOXto at least consider ringing it back. T-888 16:37, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps we can create a page for wikia editors to add possible plot ideas for a well thought out petetion to bring the show back. I have more than a few, but it needs to be well regulated by admins to ensure coherent ideas and not jibberish. I understand we have contributers who's first language is not english, which is ok. Perhaps each of us write some plot ideas in our respective talk pages for peer review before they get submitted to the official idea page. At the very least it can keep this wiki strong. -Grimace427 18:18, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
Haha, perhaps we can have an American Idol-for best new idea. We can have a vote page similar to this one. -Grimace427 21:07, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

That is a great idea, I have tons of plot ideas also. It would need a lot of admin support too. I think we can do it, remember you are the resentice. I wish to be one of the heads of this project if that is possible. T-888 21:21, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

As far as Richard T. Jones and Summer Glau go, they're still open. Summer Glau was killed in Dollhouse and the series finale is the only thing left, and Richard T. Jones is only in one Bones episode. So the cast could pretty easily be brought together for now. Heck, with the cast reappearing like this, it may be a foreshadowing of something good. :) Zalbaag 02:14, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it may be but as far as we the fans go, we need to do our part as well, let FOX know that we want TSCC back. We need a petition, find cast and crew emails, email it to then and the people at fox, we need to keep going, don't let TSCC die like this. We need to find a way to get a hold of Josh Friedman and let hime know that we want the show back. T-888 02:37, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

That has already been done a few times, and Josh Friedman has no control over the fate of the show. TSCC won the "Save That Show" poll in a landslide, and still they cancelled it. All of the petitions and e-mails and begging isn't going to pursuade the suits over at FOX. They care for ratings first and formost, and TSCC did not deliver in their minds. The best hope for the show is a new direction, be it a miniseries or a new network altogether. I have not heard any legimitate talk on such a move by the producers. -Grimace427 12:45, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
Frak FOX, I wouldn't want them involved in any shape or form at all if SCC were able to come back somehow, there interference caused some of the problems the show had (Reily's early introduction for instance). Not to mention, in hindsight the airtime sucked (I mean, Fridays were awesome for me Dollhouse and Sarah Connor Chronicles in the same night made me happy), what little there were for viewers was engaged on established programming already and the target audience, lets face it, is generally not watching TV (or as I said earlier, watching something else) that night. I'm not going to hold my breath for continuation, but one never knows, after all...look at Serenity (the movie to Firefly) which came out because of fan efforts (partially) and somewhat of an attempt to continue/resolve the story. It'd take a lot of effort and time on behalf of the creative teams and actors, and many of them have seemed to moved on, which kinda sucks but in ways it's cool to see them in other things. Then there's the issues at hand, the existing film franchise and rights being in limbo... in short, this is something that has more complications then just finding a studio that wants to take the risk. A shame...and I've kinda lost my thought, so... --Terran Officer 04:12, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Alright everyone Ive got Skynet on the line they are sending a T-800 back in time to terminate those idiots at fox before they were able to cancel the show.Sniperteam82308 01:56, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Keep it up guys we cant stop giving up, TSSC for ever! one day it will back. User:kissthefloor7 12:25 August 19,2010 (UTC)

Future War much?

I have to say that I'm an extreme Terminator fan, in and out! And the ideas I've read here are absolutely fabulous. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks that getting into the real [Future war][1] is a good idea. I've been thinking about this since those fragments of the first two movies. Always dreaming about how it would be in those times. Now, I'm not gonna hate on [T3][2] here, and I actually kinda liked [T4][3], but the guys at Hollywood can do so much better.

It would take a huuuge budget for a movie(?) like that, but there are small things which could change that. It wouldn't even need a hero, just like the Band of Brothers idea, a small group of [Tech-Com][4] soldiers as the protagonists.

No big cast worth millions, just some scrawny looking guys and girls with talent, the old Terminator maquettes from T1 'till T4, lots of flashy lights, and a huge destroyed city, which could be placed in the many deserts the USA has.. Good idea?

Sorry for the long post, but this is the first time I can finally get it off my back with other people who care ^_^! If anyone would like, I could make a more detailed version of my dwelling thoughts..and maybe we could create our own plot, which will even hit [James Cameron][5] in the face :P!

[Skynet][6] is coming...soon!

--Cy4n1de 21:54, July 26, 2010 (UTC) Logging Out....

Netflix

I have netflix, and The first and second seasons just came out on insta-queue. Lots of people have netflix, and lots of people will see TTSCC, finish the two seasons, and wonder where's season 3? They'll search it up, and possibly find this website. Or we could put something out there like a video. The point is, now that Netflix has come out with TTSCC then we'll have a LOT more supporters. Thats why i'm here.--T-1001 15:22, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

I got Netflex on my wii today and have been watching TSCC all day. IT PWNS. --SUP3RCHUBBY 01:21, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Direct-to-DVDs still have hope

I know everyone here cares a lot (hopefully), so I bring the great news that Brian Austin Green and Thomas Dekker say the Direct-to-DVD movies are moving forward, and they are currently looking to Josh Friedman to write it. Link. Woot! --Zalbaag 14:18, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Let's put in some plot ideas in the meantime as we all know the last season ended on one hell of a cliffhanger. I've put together some on my userpage really just to get them out of my head but there are plenty of creative people here already. We can put our heads together for something really useful. -Grimace427 16:29, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

the cliffhanger that TSCC ssn2 was has left me feeling like a sledgehammer fell on my foot, and for the record if fox does refuse to take up a ssn3 direct-to-DVD releases can always be arranged elsewhere then I can jump all over the place like I did during the first 2 seasons........damn cliffhanger and I refuse to let it go....I refuse to let it go!!!Kanxinator 23:19, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

I feel so disgusted and enraged with the utter ineptitude and massive ignorance being displayed in the handling of the current iteration of the Terminator franchise. First this amazing show is canceled after only 2 seasons (while morons at FOX leave tons of shows on for numerous seasons which are written for a 12 year old level) and then after the great Terminator 2009 prequel move was released it was announced the next movie will be a stupid animated film and the plans for two more new movies are in limbo. UGH!!! Don't they realize they are killing off the natural fanbase?! Summer Glau is one of the best actresses I've ever seen, and I've watched over 20,000 films so far, and that she only gets low profile roles in films (and doesn't get many film roles) is a disgrace and travesty! Please pray that we see 2 more high quality Terminator feature films and 2 more seasons of T:TSCC as was originally envisioned!!!! DO NOT GIVE UP! MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD IN ALL MANNER OF MEDIA!!!!!!!!!!

Zachary.uram 05:45, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Yea about them killing a natural fanbase those of us that watched TTSCC also really enjoy the films and who is to say we dont boycott the T5 movie.Crimsonterminator1000 08:24, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

The Terminator 3000 film has been postponed due to copyright requests by the current right holders, as for boycotting Terminator 5... that could simply destroy the series entirely if the revenues aren't up to the desires of the copyright holder. - Nx1701g 21:24, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

They shouldn't have screwed up the series in the first place! Only James Cameron knows how to write a good Terminator film like magic-Boba fett 32 04:25, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Syndication

Syndicated airings of TSCC begin on Thursday, April 7 on the SyFy channel. Remember SyFy produces its own series and movies. - Nx1701g 21:36, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Film Actors

If they do make a season 3 Arnold Schwarenegger and Linda Hamilton should both make cameos, it'd make it seem like it was apart of the first two Terminators. Nx1701g 21:36, November 43, 2013 (UTC)

TSCC Now on air in the UK!

TSCC season one is currently being aired on 5* in the UK and can be viewed gratis via Freeview. Any Brit's watching? Let's have your thoughts :)

I was blown away by the first episode and bought both seasons. I still don't get why the series is named the Sarah Conner Chronicles, and I'm having a real struggle to try and understand why a third season has not been commissioned by someone by now. I thought Summer Glau made a great terminator and the series had a good storyline. However, I do agree with those critics that didn't think much to the episodes concerning aliens (because progress was slow and there was little action), which, if my memory serves me right, followed the worst episode of all, which, to my mind, was the one where Sarah is kidnapped and has some strange dream in which John is killed.

Season 2 did manage to recover from the damage inflicted by the alien episodes (which equates to about 1.5 DVDs) and season 3 should definitely have happened by now. I hope a few more Brit's will register their votes for a third season and I hope that the same cast will sign up to it, if it happens.

If season 3 was never to be, then all loose ends should have been tied up by the end of season 2 and failure to have done so is just cruel to viewers. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy seasons one and two until the story has been completed by a subsequent season or movie.

Hello, I'm from Russia I was called Cyril. Yes, after 2 seasons bored (although I did not know about the series until 2011), but I found an alternative in the form of text, the fact is that we have a person in Russia, Mikhail Maslov - he's a writer and decided to write a sequel . Principle happened is not even bad, I would say that you can safely use the text as a script in the continuation of Season 3 - if anyone can send out the information you have and if the producers and writers problem with fantasy, then I think it is possible to use our author.
