Terminator: Salvation is the fourth film in the Terminator series. Abandoning the formula of the series (Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Model 101 Terminator time traveling to the present to protect or kill someone of future importance), this film follows John Connor and the human resistance efforts against Skynet, post-judgment day. It is planned to be released May 21, 2009, and is being directed by McG. It will star Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a television series launched in 2008 picking up the story of Sarah and John Connor following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Series producer Josh Friedman considers the series a separate timeline from the events set into motion in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. In this way, the series is an entirely new version of Terminator 3 and continues on from the movie chronology of the first two films and will carry a link to the next film.
